What you receive
Real credentials. Real community. Real skills.
Every hour you contribute is tracked and acknowledged. Here's the exact value you take away.
Official SOUND Volunteer Certificate
Issued with your full contribution record and hours logged. Recognised in job applications, fellowship applications, and college portfolios. Verifiable by institutions directly at hello@sound.ngo. This is a formal acknowledgment of your work — not a participation ribbon.
Private Community Access
Join a private WhatsApp group with neurodivergent advocates, healthcare professionals, and families across India. Bi-monthly team calls where we share findings and mentor each other. Real people doing real work.
Structured Training — Skills You Keep
SOUND trains you on credential verification, field observation methodology, and neurodevelopmental condition basics. Skills in research, stakeholder communication, and structured data review with real operational infrastructure value — useful long after this role.
Your impact, tracked
Your volunteer dashboard shows every listing you contributed to and every family it helped — so your effort is never invisible.
Your role
Three kinds of work. All of it meaningful.
Pick what fits your schedule and city. You can do one or all three.
Find & verify professionals
Search for licensed specialists in your city using public professional directories. Check their credentials, note their specialty and contact details, and log your findings. We verify everything — you just need to look carefully.
Document environmental accessibility
Visit shortlisted clinics or video-call professionals. Work through our structured checklist — visual environment, acoustic parameters, physical accessibility, intake workflow. Submit your report. This is an administrative infrastructure review — not a clinical evaluation.
Spread the word
Share SOUND with parent groups, WhatsApp communities, and support networks. Help people find us before they give up searching. This one takes no training — just genuine care.
Who we need
Structured observation skills over clinical credentials.
You don't need a medical background. SOUND volunteers help with research, checklists, and community outreach — not diagnosis or therapy. What we need is someone who shows up consistently, cares genuinely, and can follow a structured process with attention to detail.
You can spare 2–3 hours a week
You communicate clearly over email or WhatsApp
You have a smartphone (field visits or remote calls)
You can follow a structured checklist carefully and log environmental observations
You understand SOUND is an administrative directory — not a clinical evaluator or regulatory body
